International School and Scholarship Programme
August 2008Hanbury, our Portuguese subsidiary has been appointed project manager, quantity surveyor and site engineers for the new Sao Lourenco International School in Almancil on the Algarve.
The modern designed school is fully equipped with sports facilities and will accommodate 350 children,
Construction works are expected to start in early 2009 with an anticipated opening date of Easter 2010.
The school recently announced that it has just received its first scholarship under its new Scholarship Programme. Hanbury is one of the sponsors and the ‘Hanbury Scholarship’ was recently presented to a pupil for academic excellence. This sponsorship will cover a substantial portion of the fees for the next two academic years, whilst the pupil is taking A-levels.
