Millbridge monitors historic site for Westminster
August 2007Millbridge is acting as Monitoring Surveyor on behalf of Westminster City Council on the recently approved £25m Marshall Street regeneration project, which will include the restoration of Marshall Street baths in Soho, construction of a new street cleansing depot and repairs to Poland Street car park.
The Grade II listed building first opened in 1932 and known for its remarkable barrel vaulted roof, will house the new purpose built leisure centre opening in the first half of 2009. The original marble lined pool will be restored, along with the building of a range of new health and fitness activity areas, including dance and exercise studios. A new spa and health suite will be located in the basement.
