Work starts on NHS Laboratory
July 2007Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust has commenced work on a "state of the art" automated blood sciences laboratory at Charing Cross Hospital together with two satellite laboratories at the Hammersmith, and Chelsea and Westminster hospitals.
The new laboratory, being created under a £1.6m building contract, is part of an overall modernisation of pathology services. Millbridge acted as the Trust's project manager in the development of the business case as well as estates and laboratory design and implementation. The laboratory is due to open Autumn 2007.
